It's been a beautiful and warm Thanksgiving Day in sunny So Cal.
I got up early for my run and it was really quiet and peaceful outside. I wasn't going to do Thanksgiving with my parents, so my mom and I went to breakfast this morning. We figured we would just find somewhere in Pasadena, but turns out, most places are closed on Thanksgiving, go figure.
We ended up at Condrad's on Lake Ave. It was OK, kind of "old." I had a decent omelet though. Breakfast out is kind of one of my hobbies. I'm always on the hunt for a good and cute breakfast place in my area. One of my favorite places to get breakfast is called Uncle Bill's but it's in Manhattan Beach. They have the most amazing eggs with green chilies and cream cheese mmmm... There's just something so fun about getting breakfast out on either a Saturday morning or a holiday. I'm a total morning person so I love the opportunity to get up and do something fun to start the day. It's also a good chance for me and my dad to catch up since I don't see him as often as I get to see my mom. So as far as Conrad's goes, I would give it 2.5 pancakes out of 5 on the breakfast scale.
We stopped by the church's Flag Football Turkey Bowl to watch my little brother play. It's an annual thing and it's always singles versus married. The singles creamed the marrieds this year and I made sure people knew it's 'cuz Donny (that's my husband's name, by the way) didn't play because he's still sick. (I'm not sure any of the singles were convinced)
Speaking of Donny, he's still pretty weak so when I got home, we watched the dog show on TV for awhile (seriously - who gets dog shows? I literally have NO idea what they're judging on...) and then we walked to the end of our street and back so Donny could get some fresh air.
We then cleaned up and headed to my in-laws where we are now. I'm currently blogging from their couch with "Leave it to Beaver" in the background and a cup of coffee with whipped cream in front of me.
I hope you're all having a great Thanksgiving and getting a chance to rest and hang with family!
